RETURN, REFUND AND ALTERATION POLICY

1. Principle — The unique nature of bespoke

Each garment made by Fantino is a unique piece, created according to the customer's measurements, fabric choices and finishes. As such, and in accordance with Article L. 222-9, 3° of the Luxembourg Consumer Code, bespoke garments cannot be subject to withdrawal, return or refund, except in the event of a manufacturing defect or an error attributable to Fantino.

This rule is explained by the very nature of the product: a suit tailored to one customer's measurements cannot be resold to another.

2. Strict return conditions

A return can only be considered if all of the following conditions are met:

  1. The garment has not been worn.
  2. The garment has not been washed, ironed or modified.
  3. The original Fantino labels and garment cover are intact.
  4. No alteration has been carried out by a third party.
  5. The request is made within fourteen (14) days of receipt.

These conditions are cumulative. In the absence of any one of them, the return is not accepted.

KEY WORDING
Returns are only accepted if the product has not been worn, has not been washed, has not been modified and still bears its original labels. Any garment that has been used, even briefly, is deemed accepted.

3. Cases eligible for Fantino coverage

  • Manufacturing defect or non-conformity with the agreed specifications (different fabric, cut not matching the spec sheet, omitted finishes): the House takes back the piece, brings it into conformity or remakes it entirely at its own expense.
  • Shipping error (piece intended for another customer, incorrect address attributable to Fantino): full coverage by the House.
  • Non-personalized accessories and items as-is (ready-to-wear, where applicable), subject to strict compliance with the conditions listed in article 2.

4. Non-eligible cases

  • Change of mind after delivery of a bespoke garment.
  • Change in the customer's body shape after the measurements were taken.
  • Aesthetic disagreement over a choice validated by the customer at the time of order (lining colour, fabric shade, lapel shape, pocket configuration, etc.).
  • Garment worn, washed, ironed, modified or altered outside the Fantino workshop.
  • Damage resulting from improper care or use of the garment.

5. Adjustments and alterations — Fantino's commitment

THE FANTINO COMMITMENT ON FIT
Any alteration made necessary by a fitting defect attributable to Fantino is carried out exclusively in the House's workshop, free of charge to the customer.

Every first order also benefits from a first series of complimentary comfort alterations, to be carried out at delivery or at a later appointment scheduled within a reasonable time.

Alterations related to a change in body shape or a new aesthetic request are charged according to a quote, but remain carried out by the Fantino workshop in order to preserve the integrity of the piece.

Any intervention by a third-party workshop on a Fantino garment releases the House from its fitting and warranty commitments.

6. Request procedure

  1. The customer contacts the House by email at contact@fantinolux.com, specifying their order number, the item concerned and the nature of the request.
  2. A Fantino advisor examines the request and gets back to the customer within two (2) business days.
  3. If the request is eligible, the return or adjustment terms are agreed: workshop appointment, courier, or postal shipment with precise instructions.
  4. For shipped items, Fantino provides a prepaid return label where applicable. Return costs are borne by Fantino when the defect is attributable to it, and by the customer in other admissible cases.
  5. After receipt and inspection, the final decision is notified to the customer: bringing into conformity, remaking, credit note or refund.

7. Refund

When a refund is granted, it is made to the payment method used at the time of order, within fourteen (14) days of the decision, and in any event after receipt and inspection of the returned item.

8. Care and longevity

A bespoke garment is a living piece that requires careful maintenance. The House recommends:

  • Rare and gentle dry cleaning, at a trusted cleaner.
  • A wide, curved hanger, suited to the shape of the shoulders.
  • Regular airing and gentle brushing.
  • A rest period of twenty-four (24) hours between two consecutive wears.

Any care question can be addressed to the workshop, which is at the customer's disposal.
